Well, Chaney had a "hot/cold" weekend at her recent NADAC trial. She ended up having major muscle tightness in 3 areas, primarily in her right chest that caused her to mess up all of her weaves, thus causing her to Non-Qualify on all her Regular and Weavers runs. (mom was really frustrated!!) Chaney got 2 massages, but she was still real tight. She did, however, ***FINALLY*** got another Elite Chances Q with a nice run. Mom thought the course was easy for Chaney, but surprisingly only 5 dogs out of 19 Q'd in Elite. The day before, only 1 Elite dog Q'd, but Chaney ran a beautiful run and *almost* got it, too. She ended up Q'ing in 6 out of 13 runs, nearly her typical 50%, which given how badly she did with the weaves in 5 of her runs, Mom was pretty happy. She got 3 first places... 2 on her Elite Jumpers runs and one in Elite Hoopers. So, that still leaves Chaney needing 5 Elite Regular for her NATCH (shouldn't have a problem getting those over the next few months) and now 11 Elite Chances. She earned her Touch N Go NATCH requirements, which just leaves 5 Elite Weavers for her Versatility NATCH and will hopefully have those by the time she gets the rest of the Elite Chances.
Chaney also got a title this weekend-- Superior Elite Tunnelers! Below is a photo of Chaney after the trial posing with the judge, Mark Buehl.
Now, we just have to work hard getting Chaney stretched out so she doesn't blow her runs at her next trial!
But, we are so proud of her for finally getting another Elite Chances and hope this starts the ball rolling for a bunch more Chances Qs!! (I think my "kicking her in the butt" helped!!) :) Here are some photos from the trial taken from video--

To celebrate Chaney's success, Mom bought Chaney and me each a "deer antler" at the trial to munch on. What a special treat!! We weren't quite sure what to make of it right at first, but boy did they smell appetizing! We enjoyed them!

I tried to work on my obedience this weekend at the trial, and did some, but it was a little crazy there, so I still have more work to do before my Rally trial.
