On Saturday night, we had our first "severe" weather of the year and a Tornado Warning was issued on a storm that was barreling straight towards my house!
R.C. and I were keeping a close eye on the radar.
Mom thought it was best to get the storm shelter cleared out again for another season. She takes storms more seriously since Greensburg got demolished a few years ago. So, being the smart BC that I am, I was the first one to be sure that I was safe in our cramped little shelter under the stairs.
Then, Chaney followed suit. See... smart border collies! :)
Then, R.C. booted me out of my spacious palatial crate with the window views (guess she isn't dumb either!)
So, Mom had to bring another crate down for me.
R.C. got worried about our outdoor kitties. She found Mama Kitty (we call her Mama Cita) sitting on the porch with the pouring rain, thunder, and lightning all around. Dumb cat!!!
By the time it reached my house, it had weakened. That's ok. We are practiced for next time, thanks to my quick example!
Earlier in the night, mom tried out the "photo feature" on her new Hi Def video camera she bought to tape Chaney's agility runs and my upcoming obedience trial (and all of our cute mugs in the family!) Mom was real pleased how well it took still photos!
Here's Chaney trying with all her might to use her "Mind Powers" to get her frisbee to move so she can chase it.
Here she let out a hearty yawn after a rousing game of "chase the frisbee".
