Remembering 2 great men

We lost 2 great men of this world on June 5th. My mom wanted me to post a short dedication to them both.

In 1968, Robert Kennedy was shot in Los Angeles during his presidential campaign. Just 3 months prior to him being killed, he visited my mom's Alma Mater and gave a speech in Allen Fieldhouse.
Here are 2 photos of Bobby speaking in Allen--

You know the guy must have been good-hearted if he realized the best place to sleep on the plane was next to his trusty dog Freckles!

And, on June 5, 2009, the former Cleveland Indians owner Dick Jacobs died. He turned the Cleveland Indians around in the 1990s from the team who had become famous for being so bad a movie was made about them-- "Major League" to playing in the World Series. He got the team out of the old, huge Municipal Stadium and built the new baseball stadium that was once (and to many still is) belovedly known as "the Jake". Unfortunately, Dick sold the team and the team has fallen from it's caliber in the 90s. The Cleveland fans love and miss you, Dick! Thank you for believing in our team and in Cleveland!

Rest in peace, gentle souls!
